Mark McNair was found injured in Imperial Court on 8 May 2019 and later died in hospital on 2 June 2019.
He was said to have received his injuries during an assault.
A 50-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of murder at the time but was later released with no further action to be taken against him.
Following his death the police said that they were treating it as a murder investigation.
However, the police later said, 'We have concluded our investigation and no further action will be taken regarding this arrest'.
His post mortem proved inconclusive and it was said that further tests would be required to establish his cause of death.
However, nothing more is known about the circumstances around his death.
